I see the Stat Band is on at the Boot and Shoe in Ackworth tonight; I feel a bit better so off I go. It's only 10 minutes from Tunnicliffe Towers. It's good to see the place packed on this fine Friday night. The tap room, the concert room and the outside which has been up graded. The stage was already set up when I arrived: the line up is Sooty on drums and vocals, Trevor Midgely on guitar and keyboard, Trevor Sargent on lead guitar, Alex, (Alias Sweep), who is the lead singer and guitar, It's been a while since I heard the guys and I'm looking forward to their show. Drum Roll!!!! The band is in the building, and. HERE WE GO. They opened with, 'Don't You Cry No More', followed by, 'Listen To The Music'. One from the La's, 'There She Goes'. You can tell from the songs so far how a good a night the Boot And And Shoe are having. Simply terrific guys. As I was leaving they started to play the Hollies, 'He Ain't Heavy He's My Brother', the harmonies on every song were note perfect. There were lots more but I'm satisfied with the music I have heard. That's the STAT band.
