The 7th and last of the Blackpool Command Preview shows took place at the Sheffield Lane
WMC tonight. This is a lovely club, well decorated, good stage lights, a big stage which had
superb sound to light display, and a good atmosphere. The first act tonight hoping for a place at the Horseshoe bar in Blackpool was, Sarah Cave, who is a Lady Gaga tribute act but only sang one of her songs, Sarah looked good in her stage outfit, a nice short pink dress, like the shoes. Her first song was a Jessie J song, 'Price Tag', the Lady Gaga song was, ‘Born This Way', her next song was M People's, 'Moving On Up', songs by Bruno Mars, Bryan Adams and closed her set with a Sam Smith song. A good opening set from, Sarah
Cave.
Copy Cats,
Their first song was a Cher song, 'Strong Enough', Sue was dressed in an Impressive Cher outfit, like the shoes. Hal is on guitar and vocals. A few ines of Comedy in this high energy non stop show on to another Cher song, 'It's In His Kiss', 'Tell Me Ma', 'Poker Face', like the shoes or are they boots? Hal came on stage as Boy George and sang, 'Karma Chameleon'. Another song by Tina Turner, 'The Best', ended their set. Copy Cats.
Hayley Rose.
Hayley looked lovely in a long black dress, like the shoes. Hayley has a good strong voice, her first song was, 'I Got The Music In Me', and this was followed by a song called, 'I Love You I Do'. One from the Bee Gees called, 'Immortality'. One of Celine Dion's songs was, 'I'm Alive'. One from Les Miserable, 'I Dreamed A Dream'. I like this young ladies voice and her backing tracks. Hayley's final song was a song from the 1950's, The Platters great big hit, 'The Great Pretender'.
Exit Duo.
Sooz and Russ X are the two people who make up the duo; they opened their show with, 'It's All Coming Back To Me Now', a Meatloaf song which they sang in harmony. Both looked very smart on stage, Sooz in a knee length tiered dress, like the shoes. Russ in a very smart pin striped suit and hey Russ, like the shoes. There was a fab version of Bon Jovi's, 'A Bed Of Roses'. The choreography was good too. I liked the Bryan Adams song, 'Everything I Do I Do It For You'. A Journey song was featured, 'Don't Stop Believing'. The Village People were featured with the ever popular, YMCA. the final song from Exit was, 'A real Dead
Ringer For Love'. Another Meatloaf's song. A real talented duo, that's Exit.
Ricky Starr.
Ricky was the final act tonight. Looking very smart in a suit, shirt and tie, Ricky also acted as Compere for the night. He opened with, 'She', a Charles Aznavour song, followed by a John Legend song followed by a Gary Barlow song 'Let Me Go'. It was really a dance set from Ricky Starr. A good ending to a good night. I did Ricky's encore, ‘Something Inside So Strong’ a Labi Siffre song, a good ending to a good night of entertainment...
