Mr T is 70..
Westgate common club was very busy on Friday night; it was my Birthday, not just any birthday, it was my 70th. Lots of friends an family turned up to celebrate with me. There were singers there who entertained the people. Jonathan Carroll helped out with the compering. Lee Lambert sang a few songs for us, Jess Pinder and family travelled from Cleethorpes, she sang a couple of songs as did Helena Starz who came with her family from Hull. Thanks to everyone who attended... and to Westgate Common club for the use of the concert room...
The Following Night, Saturday, Pat and I met some of our friends, again in Westgate Common, where Glam Rock band, ‘Jeepster’ was the engaged act; they opened with a T Rex number, ‘20th Century Boy’. The band consists of Norry Church, lead vocalist and guitarist, Terry Costello is on lead guitar, keyboards and vocals, bass man is Laurie who also sings and harmonises and finally tHe drummer who is Dean. Four great musicians and singers. There were the songs of Rod Stewart, The Sweet,, The Bay City Rollers, Mud and Slade. Just a few examples of their songs which were, ‘Tell Him’, ‘Shang A Lang’ and ‘I Love To Boogie’. He guys were dressed in long coats, black and white stripes in the style of Tiger Skins, (Not real of Course) and this time it was Pat who, ‘Liked The Shoes’. A great night out for us and our friends...
