What A Show At The "Boot".
The Boot And Shoe pub in Ackworth was exceptionally busy on Tuesday night. There are two new presenters in the form of Karen King and Dave Seville who are two top solo entertainers from our clubs who opened the show with a couple of songs. From Dave it was an Erasure medley and from Karen a request for, Unchained Melody. The format of the Tuesday night shows is to introduce the featured act and then guest artistes are encouraged to bring a disc and, “Give us a couple of songs. Tonight’s featured artiste was top club land duo, Picture This’ Paul and Angie make up this duo’. A nonstop musical extravaganza came from the stage of this almost a mini theatre. Picture This opened their show with a duet of Poker Face; lots of up tempo songs followed including my favourite for the night, a Take That song, “Rule The World”. There were lots of regulars and some club land artistes in the room including, Lee Lambert, Steffi Ackroyd, Sonya, Danny Tetley, Johnny Evans, The P 45’s, Bob Taylor, Chris Lafferty, Tristran Drew and Amy Davison. Sorry if I missed anyone out but it really was a very busy night and a fabulous atmosphere.
