The Solicitors Pack The Lupset...
In this the final week of Mick and Sue McGinley’s five years tenure as licensees
in the Lupset they had the great Northern soul, blues and Motown band,
‘The Solicitors’, this is an eight piece band consisting of Bob Thomas, the
front man who sings and plays a mean harmonica; Mick Doonan on saxophone. There are two guys on trumpets, one on keyboards, a drummer, a guitarist and a bass guitarist. Their music is awesome and from the first song you know you are in for a party night. As stated the Lupset was very busy. Their music included,
‘Thunder In My Heart, ‘Bring It On Home’ and many more of this bands magical songs that made people not want to go home. Truly a top band of musicians and entertainers.
One thing that was brought to my attention were Bob’s boots, they were cherry red. LTB. Well Mick and Sue will be missed here in the Lupset, they have brought lots of bands here we couldn’t have dreamed of having and I’m sure we wish them well in whatever they decide to do next...
