The Scratch band made an appearance at Wakefield’s newest music venue, The British Oak, in Rooks Nest Road, Stanley. WF1 3DZ There were quite a few in there but with more notice we could have had a full house. What was there was very encouraging for Fiona and Andy; The Scratch Band will be there again next Saturday so tell your friends. The music they played was well received by the customers; the band was in fine form as they went through their repertoire, I Drove All Night, Mexican Girl, and Sultans Of Swing. Volunteer Stan The Man sang ‘How Long’ and ‘Doctor – Doctor that went down well, Mr T sang,’ Save The Last Dance For Me’, (And I Enjoyed that, we had a bit of fun). the Scratch Band will return to the British Oak, next Saturday because the regulars there want to bring their families and friends to see them. So... If YOU want a seat, be early..
