Au Voir But Not Goodbye Mick And Sue McGinley...
The Scratch Band gave outgoing Mick and Sue McGinley a 'Right Royal' send off on Saturday night; the place was bursting at the seams, the band was on top form and the crowd, It was also Sue's Birthday, [21st?]. (As Mick often says) went wild. There were guest appearances from, ‘Ginner’, ‘Stan The Man’, ‘Greg Hant’, ‘Robin’, Jack Wrigg’and ‘Matt’ the cockle man. It was also a fond farewell to Mike Lynskey who has been with the band from day one; this guy plays lots of instruments, Guitar, saxophone, Penny Whistle, Harmonica, Musical Saw and even played a kettle one night… I’m sure Mike will be missed. In his place will be former Scratch band favourite, Steve Mounsey who will make his re-debut on Saturday December 17that the British Oak in Ossett… After Saturday’s show there was a very impressive fireworks display. What a Finale…
Today (Sunday November 6th)The famous BeardSmith Family Band appeared on stage from 1pm to 4pm and attracted another full house; this was the final show at the Lupset under the tenure of Mick and Sue I wonder what will happen next for the Lupset. There has been many rumours as to what will happen. As soon as i know I will reportt on here for you ... Have No Fear, Mr T Is Here...
