Marty Launches New One Man Show...
I called in at the ‘Oliver Twist’ pub
in Notton to see the new show of Marty Jones; he is a well known character who lives in the Wakefield area. This is a completely different side to this 28 years old man's many talents, musician, comedian and singer. Well, I like it very much...
Marty’s personality and charisma showed through on the night as he went through his show of singing and playing guitar with some backing tracks. Each and every song aimed at a younger audience but I have to say that the audience he launched his show on was more the middle aged people,(like yours truly); they loved his show. He sang songs by Oasis, Donovan, The Who, The Jam, The Killers and Travis. He still has his cheeky smile and there are moments of humour. This is the Marty Jones I like and would recommend him at most venues. He will still be in the clubs with his duo, Big Beat but make no mistake; the “Marty Jones One Man Show”, is excellent.
The song I liked best in the set I saw was ‘I’ve Got Soul But I’m No Soldier'.
Great stuff from Marty Jones...
