Vinyl Legacy A Success In The “Duncan”.
The pub was really buzzing when we all got there; all? Well there lots of faces there from the Lupset who used to meet up for the band nights on Saturdays, there were people who were ‘Duncan’ Regulars who returned
to see what was happening, I even caught a glimpse of Ian Laidler who was always a regular at he Duncan, Where has he been hiding lately. It was great to see the place so busy.
The band on stage was the newly formed band, ‘Vinyl Legacy’, a 50’s and 60’s harmony band. There were five musicians on the night, (five for the price of four), together they made a super sound. We caught the second hour long set which included, Edison Lighthouse;s ‘Love Grows’, ‘All Shook Up’, (Hey I didn’t see Elvis in the building), ‘Heart Full Of Soul’, the music of Fleetwood Mac, The Beatles, The Coasters, Cliff Richard and the Shadows and many more. I hope the management continue booking Saturday night bands. It’s what is needed around Wakefield.
