Stone Creek A Big Draw At Gilly’s CMC.
“Ain’t that right boys” is the catch phrase of country band Stone Creek that was appearing at Gilly’s Country Music Club on Tuesday night. The Wakefield City Club concert room was full at 8 o’clock such is this bands attraction even though this was the first public appearance for 18 years. The Stone Creek band’s line up is, lead singer/guitarist, Bradley Kincade, (Roy), on lead guitar, pedal steel, banjo and harmonica it’s Dr Red Rufus Kline, (Dave), on bass it’s Whore House Lucky Jim, (Mel) and on drums we have Marshall- Marshall the Sheriff. Their stage clothes are from the days of the western saloons, fabulous. My fingers are tired already! The music, the harmonies and the comedy is still there; they carry a good. A few of the songs were, ‘Baby What You Wanna Do’, ‘I'm My Own Grandpa’ and ‘Living On Tulsa Time’. I hope Chris books this band back in the not too distant future, they will fill the place again I’m sure.
Speaking of the song, I'm My Own Grandpa' it reminded me that local country Star, 'Tony Smith' will be on stage at Gilly's net week. November [29th]... AKA Granpa T Smith... Be Early...
It was good to see and old friend, 'Pete Wakefield' in the club. Pete was in quite a few
bands including country bands some years ago and still loves his country music. Good to see you Pete...
Below there are two pictures of Stone Creek and one of next week's act Granpa T Smith...
