Sonya
Move Over Sue Pollard...
The Ferrybridge Progressive Club was a bit thin on the ground when I arrived on Thursday night to see Sonya who generated such a great atmosphere both with her singing; she has a lovely voice and her facial expressions are Priceless. Sonya was dressed in a black and white striped top and a pencil type skirt; LTS. I caught a few of her songs in her first set which were, ‘Under The Moon Of Love’, ‘Delilah’ and her own version of Adele’s,‘Someone Like You’. In her second set she was dressed in a black cat suit complete with a broad belt. I liked her version of Bon Jovi’s ‘Living On A Prayer’; Sonya was privileged to sing this with Bon Jovi a while back. She finished her set with some good old standards and a couple of medleys by Shakin’ Stevens and The Beatles. I left the club feeling well and truly entertained ...Thank you Sonya...
It was good to see Shirley, in the chair person’s box, she does a wonderful job. Her announcements etc are very clear. A lovely lady AND I got a kiss. Thank you Shirley...
