Girnhill Lane WMC Welcome The Soul Men.
Martin Burton’s Soul Men was the act on stage; as all the soul bands I have seen the martin Burton Soulmen were dressed immaculately in
tuxedos. The voices were very good and the harmonies, WOW. You will see in the picture, four men but one was missing due to a car accident, nevertheless the three guys there gave a first class show. The choreography was slick and the Soul Men were enjoying themselves. ‘Miss Grace’, ‘My Girl’, ‘Stand By Me’ and a superb Sam Cook medley were loudly applauded by the members. The Soul Men carry a top class sound system and a great sound to light display. We only saw the first set but it was terrific...
The Tragical History Tour Stops at Westgate Common Club.
This is a Beatles tribute show with a difference; none of the band members, Dylan on drums as Ringo and looked nothing like him. Bass man Ben was nothing like Paul McCartney, he is well over six feet and his Mohican hair style adds another maybe 3 inches to his height, Lewis was John Lennon and guess what, he didn’t look like him either finally Martin was George Harrison and didn’t look like him. BUT we have here four great musicians who just love the Beatles. The outfits were very smart, black trousers and waistcoats, well the Beatles were smart in their day. ‘Ticket To Ride’, ‘A Hard Day’s Night’, ‘Taxman’ and ‘I Feel Fine’ were a few of their songs; what a great show from ‘Tragical History Tour’. Ringo, (Sorry Dylan) told us that he had been on the internet and found out that this band was the only Beatles tribute band that didn’t try to look anything like their heroes...
