Roy Dennis At The Carlton Club.
It was a very busy club on Saturday for the visit of Fylde FM radio presenter Roy Dennis. His stage attire is excellent, his voice is very clear and distinct and the presentation is top class. Shadows fan Roy opened his show with a Shadows instrumental, ‘Shadoogie’; he followed this with a series of songs from the 50’s and 60’s and included songs from the Everly Brothers, Malcolm Vaughn, Gerry And The Pacemakers, Bobby Darin and many others too numerous to mention. There were dancers on the floor from the very first number. Concert secretary Paul Kew sent me a message telling me that it was a great night and Roy did a 75 minutes last set.
You can hear Roy on http://www.fyldefm.com/ every morning from 8am ‘til 12 noon
