Ricky Graham Leisure Agency held their Audion night at Pontefract in West Yorkshire's Willow Park Social Club on Thursay night...
The first act was a tall well dressed man called Don Burgundy, he has a strong voice and is very energetic on stage. Don sang songs from the 60’s/70’s.
A few of his songs were, Elvis Presley’s Love Me, Trouble and G.I. Blues. Other songs were, Mr Bojangles and Everybody’s Talking. A good set from Don Burgundy…
The second act was a two girl duo from Hull called ‘Double Diva’; Gemma and Helen have good voices, excellent harmonies and look great on stage. The stage at Willow Park isn’t very big and with other acts equipment on stage there’s little room for dance moves. Their songs range from the 60’s to the present day.
Double Diva opened their set with Abba’s ‘Gimme –Gimme – Gimme’ and I was impressed with the way they used the backing track to introduce themselves. Adele’s ‘Someone Like You’, ‘Hold On For One More Day’, ‘Fight For This Love’, ‘Walking On Sunshine’ and finishing with an Abba Medley. An excellent Duo… ‘Double Diva’.
