It was a pretty busy West Green WMC in Barnsley on Friday night. I walked in on a charity show in aid of Barnsley Hospice. The acts advertised were unable to appear so into the breach stepped Vocaltutor Founder, Georgina Hill-Brown and her family. Before I arrived a gentleman called Tony Lewis had done a one hour set; I was unaware of this but thank you Tina Dean for letting me know. Tina herself was once on the clubs circuit. She was a soloist and also part of a duo with hubby Jon Dean...
After the Bingo 12 years old Ellie Kate appeared on stage. She has a good voice and sang in her set Stone Cold Sober, Turning Tables, Fire Wok and finished her set with, Never Forget You. Very well done Ellie Kate. Another game of Bingo (which helped to raise money for the Hospice),
Enter Georgina who has an excellent voice; she sang in her set, Rain On Your Parade, Hopelessly Devoted To You, Close To You, The Show and many more. Georgina ended her song with the song that means a lot to her, Wild Horses.
Around £300 was raised on the night; Well Done..
Thanks must go to Georgina's hubby, William Hill-Brown who provided the sound and looked after the lights and youngest daughter Alex who was there to give her valuable support. It was nice to meet the afore mentioned Tina Dean, a lovely lady...
