Ktstar A hit In Ferrybridge Progressive.
Thursday nights in the Ferrybridge Progressive club are usually well attended and last night (23rd December) was no different. On stage was Ktstar who had driven from her home in Cambridge to fulfil her engagement. She looked great on stage and sounded superb; the kind of voice that is soothing to the ear and exciting for the up tempo songs. Katie sings the songs that the audience like to hear and when she was singing last night you could have heard a pin drop. I just loved the song, ‘Diamonds Are Forever’.What a great artiste in Ktstar...
I did notice at this club that after her set the lady in the chair waited until Ktstar had left the stage before she announced the bingo tickets were on sale and even then the time the game would start. There was plenty of time for a chat for everyone. I wish every club remembered that people like to talk.
Christmas Day Night and a couple of parties to go to; I looked in the pages of the West Riding Club Review. There were very few clubs with entertainment; there were a couple but we opted for the Green Bowling club in Ferry Fryston where we saw that Ktstar was the engaged artiste. The club was quite busy and Katie was about to go on stage. I have a lot of admiration for this young lady. She has a wonderful voice and her repertoire covers many genres. Her songs go back to the early fifties right up to the present day. The members in Green lane liked her 60’s songs where they liked to join in to songs like, ‘Da Doo Ron-Ron’, ‘My Boy Lollipop’, ‘Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow’ and ‘Stand By Me’. This year, 2011 Ktstar was the winner of the prestigious competition, ‘The Hull Daily Mail Talent Trail’. I have heard her singing the songs of Adele which seems to be the present IN tribute show. Well let me tell you that Katie does an excellent tribute to the great lady.
