Open Mic At The ‘British Oak’.
Hey there was quite a turnout at the British Oak in Rooks Nest Road/Lane, Stanley, just outside Wakefield. Last night, [Wednesday] for the open mic session. The landlord is club entertainer Andy Jay. It was the final night for the host David Tattersall who is going to University. There is another young man whose name I didn’t catch taking over next week; I heard quite a few good voices there and one which was really outstanding and that belonged to Andy. Wow, what a singer and a really nice chap too. I heard three songs from him, ‘New York State Of Mind’, ‘The Answer’ which he sang for his mother in law and a truly awesome version of,’ I Who Have Nothing’. Lets give Andy and his fiancé, the lovely Fiona some support. Don’t forget folks, its every Wednesday night…
AND, If you see Andy Jay advertised at a venue near you, "Go And See Him".
