Lee A Hit In Pontefract...
The members of a busy Willow Park Social Club welcomed this young singer to their club; Lee Lambert was in fine voice when Pat and I were there. Looking very smart as he always is, in a smart silver suit, black shirt complete with a motif and yes, ‘LTS’. He opened his show with a Barry White song, ’You’re My First My Last My Everything’ which got the crowd clapping along.
Lee has certainly progressed into an all round entertainer. He is confident but his feet are still on the ground, Lee is a top line singer and his presentation is excellent; he knows how to inter-act with his audience and knows which songs to choose. Dave, his dad, does a first class job on the sound desk. More of Lee’s songs were, ‘When You Say Nothing At All’ and an Elvis Presley song, ‘The Wonder Of You’. As one member said to me, “This young man knows how to entertain”. Very true sir...
Becky Entertains The Prince Of Wales Club..
Down the road in the Nevison part of Pontefract, Hull lady, Becky Brown was on stage at the Prince Of Wales club. I have seen Becky before but that was many years ago in a junior talent competition. her publicity says "Dynamic Vocalist" and she certainly is that. Tonight she looked great on stage, dressed in a black top over black tights. I didn’t like the shoes because she was doing a Sandy Shaw on me, 'no shoes'. Becky has a very strong voice and sang in the set we saw,‘Proud Mary’, ‘Lipstick’, ‘Human’, Ann Breen’s ‘Pal Of My Cradle Days’ and Patsy Kline’s ‘Sweet Dreams Of You’. Loved her show, look out for this lady, Becky Brown...
