The Shepherds Arms Open Mic...
Monday night is when the Shepherds Arms has its Jam session or Open Mic as some prefer to call it. This week it was hosted by Postman, John McSeverny. He played and sang a few songs before introducing some of the people who had turned up to join in the fun. One was Jake who was using a new guitar. Jake is a Beatles fan and sings lots of their songs. Bob sings and sounds more than a little like Johnny Cash. One that caught my eye (and ears) was Jodie who is a folk singer. She often sings her own compositions so I don’t really know the titles, BUT, I’m not bothered, the songs sounded wonderful; Jodie has a crystal clear voice and her voice range is excellent, she is pretty good on the guitar too.
A few friends appeared in the pub, namely, Jack and Robin, Nathan who sings in a couple of bands and Kevin who likes music…
For a good and relaxing live music night out on a Monday night it’s the Shepherds Arms….
