Saturday Night Out.
Pat and I had a ride round on Saturday night starting at Lofthouse Gate club where we saw Miss Meatloaf herself, Michaela May, so called because of her love for Meatloaf songs and style. As soon as the music for a Meatloaf song began the members gave her loud applause. Michaela opened her show with, ‘Knock On Wood’; I know she was suffering with a tickly throat but she carried on to perform a great show. A couple of her Meatloaf songs were, ‘You Took The Words Right Out Of My Mouth’ and ‘Not A Dry Eye In The House’. Michaela May has a wonderful personality, she is very funny although she never tells a joke, (She doesn’t need to with her quick and wicked wit). There were songs from Reo Speedwagon, Kim Wilde and Robbie Williams/Nicole Kidman. The latter being, ‘Something Stupid’ in which she enlisted the help of, ‘Mr T’. For me, her best song was the heart song, "Alone". What a voice and what a super night of entertainment from this lady, “Michaela May”.
