John Gillan Wows Westgate Common Club.
It was good to see a full house tonight and to see a great show, a comedian who has an operatic voice, that man is John Gillan from Saddleworth, near Oldham. This guy is a workaholic and was on the go even before his first set. John is always dressed immaculately, in a three piece suit complete with white shirt and a tie; LTS. He has a voice to die for; he has sung in the West End of London and is very popular wherever he performs. He opened his show with, ‘This Is The Moment’ followed by a great version of Arnold Alfredo Cocozza’s, (Mario Lanza) ‘Be My Love’. I just love his style of music. The comedy and the jokes followed fast and furious. There is a saying; ‘Not A Dry Eye In The House’ and Westgate’s
members were very close. Although the show was described by Westgate Common as an adult show there wasn't much naughty language, more innuendo. John called a house of Bingo with hilarious results and sang songs for the dancers in his second set with a medley of pop songs and his final song was, 'Bring Him Home'. Absolutely superb; a terrific all round show from ‘John Gillan’..
