What A Show From Triple X.
The City Club in Wakefield was pretty busy on Friday night; I saw a superb act there called, ‘Triple X’, this impressive trio is made up of Robbie Grimes on guitar, Colin ‘Ramrod’ Rushton also on guitar with Kevin Davids on lead vocals.
As well as the guitarists there was backing tracks for bass and drums. The PA was excellent as were the lights. The voices were good and the harmonies, ‘Note Perfect’.
Triple X had a well balanced programme and sang songs by Billy Fury, Credence Clearwater Revival, Joe Cocker, Showaddwaddy, Pink Floyd, Seal, Roy Orbison, Meatloaf, and many others. The song I picked out as the one I enjoyed most was another Pink Floyd song, called ’Comfortably Numb’. As I have already said, “What a show from Triple X”. If you have never seen them you really must look out for them!
