Goodbye Janet...
The funeral of one of my great friends, Janet Sellars, was held at Wakefield Crematorium last Thursday; it was certainly well attended which shows just how much love and respect people had for her. Janet was the licensee of the Jolly Sailor on Thornes Wharf, Wakefield for four years along with her loving husband Ray. It was a moving Humanist service and told the life of Janet, her love of music and Benidorm and many aspects of her outgoing personality. The crematorium was filled to capacity, full waiting rooms and foyer; many people were standing outside in the rain. I personally have known Janet for many years and we always had a chat when we met. After the service there was a collection for Cancer Research which raised £560 and Ray rounded it up to £600; he would like to say thank you to everyone who came to the funeral and for their generous donations. After the funeral there was a wake held at the Admiral Duncan pub on Thornes Lane, Wakefield. R.I.P. Janet, you will be sadly missed
