John Aston Welcomed At Gilly's CMC
Report By Chris Gill....
What a great turn out for the evergreen country singer John Aston. You could hear a pin drop for all three sets with John in mesmerising form. The songs John went through were up to date as well as old standards such as "The Old Lamplighter", recorded by The Browns, "Meat and Potato Man" by Alan Jackson and a great sing along to finish the night with "King Of The Road", originally recorded by Roger Miller, and when I say
sing a long I mean just about everyone joined in. John Aston has to be one of very best solo country artists on the circuit. Next time he is in your area go see how country should be done!!! Well done John!
