The Stu Page Band...
Full House For ‘The Stu Page Band’...
Gilly’s CMC, situated in the Wakefield City Club, was very busy for the visit of the Stu Page Band. Stu is on lead guitar and lead singer, Tom Page, son of Stu, is on guitar and sings harmonies, Ian Hawkins is the bass player with the drummer Roy Whyke making the full line up and a very tight outfit. The sound system is very good, the musicians are ‘Class’ and the singing, well, great I guess is the right word here. As always, the audience here at Gilly’s is a listening audience and they hang on every note that is sung and played, some of their songs were,‘It’s Five O’clock Somewhere’, ‘Kern River’, Elvis Presley’s ‘Guitar Man’. 'How I Got To Memphis', by Tom T Hall, 'Hello Trouble', by Buck Owens, 'Hickory Wind' by Gram Parsons and 'Little Liza Jane'. by Vince Gill...
A great show from a great band, "The Stu Page Band"...
