Friday Night, Out And About.
My first call was at Featherstone’s B&S Club where I saw Road House, a soft rock duo; two great musicians who played covers from the James bond films and an absolutely superb version of Gary Moore’s Parisienne Walkway. The duo consists of Neil on guitar,(Wow)… and Rik on keyboards, (Wow again). They were just coming to the end of the first set when I got there but I will certainly see them again when I see them billed near me..
Top Dj Dave Craig.
The Lupset was quite busy when I arrived there. On stage Entertainer/Dave was hosting the karaoke session and playing some great music in between; the link ups were first class. There were some great singers, (Yes, on Karaoke) on stage one of which was, “Eric”, a lovely lady with a very nice voice… I am told that Dave is now Resident at the Lupset on Friday nights…
Concerning Karaoke; I believe that there is a place for this style of entertainment, it has helped keep some pubs open; just like Bingo does in the clubs...
Watershed In The Shepherds Arms
This is a band I saw a couple of years or so ago when they made their debut at the Ship at Horbury Bridge. Lead vocalist is the lovely Simina, on keys it’s Robert, the drummer is Baz and the lead guitar is Neil. They make an excellent sound and carry a state of the art sound and lights system… I’m Out Of Love, Still Got The Blues and Unchain My Heart were some of the songs. Look out for, “Watershed”..
