Ashley Jackman and Big ‘G’ At Crigglestone...
Ashley and Graham were the engaged act on Friday night whenI called in at Crigglestone on Friday night. Ashley was first on; he is a well dressed artiste and he plays a mean guitar. Some of his songs were, Dawn's ‘KnockThree Times’, one from Dire Straits, ‘Walk Of Life’, (I enjoyed that one). Ashley is a very good artiste, laid back and easy on the ears; he has a good voice and he can tell a good joke too. Some more of his songs were, Garth Brooks, ‘If Tomorrow Never Comes’ and a Reggae version of, ‘Help Me Make It Through The Night’. Straight after his part of the first set he introduced his good friend, Graham, AKA, “Big G”. He is a very funny comic and his size adds to the comedy because he makes fun of himself and this in turn makes people Laugh With Him and Not at him. You will have to see Big G, for the jokes.
The concert room was pretty quiet but this didn’t deter Ashley and Graham being
very professional and entertaining.
Look for the Posters on the right hand side of the page for
things happening at Crigglestone club in this their Centenary year.... !
There was a surprise in store for long serving bar person ‘Val’,who is leaving after serving behind the bar for over 20 years; I for one will miss this lovely lady, we had some great banter over the years. Good luck Val, Love You..
