What A Voice...
This young singer was full of surprises, I hear all the time about awesome and amazing voices. Well tonight they were right; Dean Alexander hails from the Cambridge area and is a very polite person’his voice has a terrific range as has his repertoire. Very smart on stage at a busy Brooke House WMC in Wakefield, he was wearing a grey suit minus the jacket, a shirt to match and LTS. Dean has a great stage presence, has a good mic technique and a good sound system. He opened his show with songs from the late 50’s and 60’s. Cilla Black’s, ‘You’re My World ‘,‘Hey There Lonely Girl’, Halfway To Paradise’ and even a tribute to opera with,‘Nessum Dorma’. What a great artiste, Dean Alexander...
The Rock Chic Herself, “Helen - Marie”
They don’t come anybetter. Helen’s stage outfits are exactly right for her style of music and LTS. Tonight we caught Helen - Marie’s second set at Westgate WMC in Wakefield. We were told by the members that the first set was superb; her voice is good and strong and her sound to light equipment,[operated by Carl] is top class. Just a few of her songs were,
‘I Would Do anything For Love’, ‘Sweet Child Of Mine’, ‘Red Neck Woman’ and to
finish her first set a requested song was Meatloaf’s, ‘A Bat Out Of Hell‘. What
a show, what a very professional entertainer, Helen – Marie...
