HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!
Pat and I set off tonight confident that the weather is a trifle milder. Our first visit was to Westgate Common WMC. The artiste engaged tonight is, Bubbles, very bubbly she is too, dressed in a very short red dress with a black belt and, ‘like the shoes’. Bubbles has a lovely voice and good sound and lights equipment. When we arrived Bubbles had just come on stage and was singing the up tempo version of, 'Don't Cry For Me Argentina' onto 'The Impossible Dream', this was followed with Petula Clark's 'Downtown', she had the entire club singing along with her. They followed her lead with Showaddywaddy's,'Under The Moon Of Love'. Julie, (Bubbles), has a terrific personality which was evident tonight. This lady was in a very successful trio a few years ago called Caution and she has lost none of her sparkle. Her version of Brenda Lee's, 'Let's Jump The Broomstick' was brilliant. A lovely mix songs, Bubbles closed her set with, 'Bet You By Golly Wow'. Loved it Bubbles.
In the second set Bubbles was dressed in another short dress but this time a black sequinned number. Her opening songs in this set was, 'I'm Still Waiting’, ‘The Happening’, ‘Stop In The Name Of Love’ and ‘Why Do Fools Fall In Love’ all in a medley. Bubbles sure enjoys herself on and off stage. Her next song was, 'Sway'. I Was a bit unsure of the titles of a couple of the songs but I'm happy just to have heard them. Great stuff Jul, oh sorry, 'BUBBLES'. I did like the song, 'Don't Worry About A Thing'. Her version of Cilla Black's, 'Anyone Who Had A Heart' was superb...

Crofton club was our next visit where we saw Two Steps Forward who were on stage. The harmonies were good, very smart in appearance, like the shoes Jane. There were songs by, ELO. ‘Hold On Tight To Your Dreams'. There was a song from Grease, 'Hopelessly Devoted To You' sung by Jane. A song by Robbie Williams was, 'Angels', Bachman Turner Overdrive song, 'You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet', I’ve not heard that for a while; a Buggles song, 'Video Killed The Radio Star'. Blimey, they are bringing back memories from years gone by. Another was, 'Daydream Believer', a Monkees hit, a medley came next. The dance floor was a busy place to be. A good set from Two Steps Forward.
