The George & Dragon pub in Flockton started off quietly tonight but suddenly
filled up. The artiste for tonight was the lovely Carrie Michaels from sunny
Sheffield. She looked great in a trouser suit, but then she would look good
in anything. Like the shoes. The first set started at around 9 - 30pm. Carrie opened. Her show with a song by Adele, 'Set Fire To The Rain', the second one was, a Kylie Minogue' song. 'All The Lovers', both were well received by the now large crowd. Carrie has a wonderful personality and has charisma. Her mum, Jeanie was on hand operating the sound and singing harmonies. she is also known as, ‘MC Mother’. The next song was Jessie J's 'Price Tag'. Jeanie's harmonies were going well. There were songs by, Celine Dion, the Carpenters, what a lovely track and Carrie's voice really complimented the song, 'Top Of The World'. Another Carpenters song followed, 'I Won't Last A Day Without You'; with the feeling Carrie put into this song it really meant something to her. One I particularly liked, 'Together We Are Beautiful’. There was a Sam Bailey song, ‘Like A Skyscraper', a new one on me. Yes folks, a lovely set from, 'Carrie Michaels' who finished the set with a Tina Turner medley. For an encore on the, ‘FIRST SET’, Carrie sang, Nessun Dorma.
