The Willows Social Club in Pontefract had a good crowd in tonight for the monthly Ricky Graham Leisure auditions. There was meant to be four acts on but only two were there; one didn’t turn up but had rung to say they couldn't get there tonight and another had to cancel for health reasons.
The first act was a boy/girl instrumental duo called ‘Cameo’;Gill and John make up the duo. they carry a very good PA system, both were well dressed for the stage. Gill was wearing a black trouser suit with a sequined top, (Lts); John was wearing a suit minus the jacket but had the waistcoat, shirt and tie, (Well polished shoes). They were also well dressed off stage. There were two superb voices, the harmonies were excellent and some of the songs were, Tina Turner’s, ‘Proud Mary’, The Pretenders, ‘Forget Me Not’, Aztec Camera’s, ‘Somewhere In My Heart’ and Fleetwood Mac’s, ‘Little Lies’. I was well impressed with this duo and hope to see a full show sometime soon...
The next act was a well dressed young man called Liam Kelly; he has good equipment too, a good voice and a good repertoire. Some of his songs were, The Killers, ‘Human’, ‘To Use Somebody’ from the Kings Of Leon, The Killers, ‘Mr Brightside’, ‘The Rose’ and many more. I was well impressed with Liam who is only 19 and has a voice beyond his years. There were many more songs in different styles. One to watch for the immediate future... Liam Kelly...
Waiting for Liam Kelly's Picture...
