Tony Munroe At The Nash...
Tony Munro is part of a male / female duo with his lovely wife but tonight he was solo/ He was well dressed on stage when I arrived, he was well into his set. He has a good voice and a good sense of humour. A couple of his songs were Dean Martin’s, 'Little Old Wine Drinker', Creedence Clearwater Revival’s, 'Bad Moon Rising'. A very good set from Tony Munroe.. John Fitzpatrick At Top Hat, (Albion Street In Hemsworth). The club was well attended on Thursday night when I called in, John was in fine voice, his voice just gets better . He opened the set I came in on with a couple of Tony Christie songs; the comedy went well especially his version of Sex On Fire. The members were in stitches at this one: John fooled them with one song they thought was another. Billy Fury and Clarence Frogman Henry songs were more of John's songs along with Billy Joel's 'My Life, and a Doby Gray song, 'Drift Away', There was lots more; go and see 'John Fitzpatrick when he comes to a club near you Tony Munroe Is Part Of The Midnight Duo And Is Pictured With His Partner, (Wife)... If ever you see the name “Donna Wylde" advertised in your area go and see this young lady. Donna had people at Gilly’s CM.C singing along after only two songs. This is how enjoyable Donna makes the night. A bit of chit chat with the crowd always helps and this lady has it off to a tee. The room was very full to listen to songs old and new such as “Like A Rose”, An Ashley Monroe song, “Blue Eyes Crying In The Rain”, Willie Nelson, “It Is What It Is”,Kacey Musgrove and “The Bug” by Mary Chapin Carpenter written by Mark Knopfler. Some great acts are on the way to Gilly’s to take us up to Christmas, The John Taylor Band, Collier Dixon Line, Stone Creek, The Hayley’s just to name a few. But for a solo artiste “Donna Wylde” takes some beating!! Well done Gal! Thanks to Chris Gill for the review...
