Dean Is A Good ’Un.
I called in to see Karen Wharton, landlady of the Horse & Jockey tonight; the pub was very quiet but more people came in later. Karen had booked Cambridge singing Star, Dean Alexander;. His voice is truly magnificent, his stage clothes were immaculate and his PA system excellent. Some of Dean’s songs were, Del Shannon’s, ‘Runaway’,UB 40’s, ‘You’re A Beautiful Woman’ and Andrea Bocelli’s, ‘The Prayer’. I really enjoyed Dean’s performance and will, I’m sure, see him again very soon.
Whilst in the Horse & Jockey, Karen told me that Mick Linskey is to resume his nights of practice nights on Thursday nights with some of his musician friends; everyone is welcome...

The Willow Social Club In Pontefract welcomed young singer, Thomas Henry
tonight. He looked good in a red shirt with matching tie, silver grey trousers
and ... yes folks LTS, they were (or are) Red. Thomas sang in the set I saw sang, ‘Dance The Night Away’, he even got a lady to dance with him, UB40’s
version of ‘Kingston Town’ and ‘Bring Him Home’ from Les Miserable and
dedicated it to his brother who is serving with the armed forces in Afghanistan. An excellent set from the Cheeky Chappie. Well done Thomas Henry... It was good to see Thomas's girlfriend Laura there supporting Thomas...
